On March 5-8, 2024, the official visit of the President of Iceland Guðni Jóhannessonto Georgia was held. The visit was the first high-level visit in Georgia-Iceland bilateral relations, thus carrying historical significance.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) Lise Beck, and the accompanying delegation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the visit of Danish parliamentarians to Georgia, which is a clear expression of Denmark's support for our country.

On February 28th, Ambassador of Georgia Nata Menabde participated in a conference about Georgia titled: "Georgia on the way to the European Union: challenges and opportunities", which was organized by the "Danish Helsinki Committee for Human Rights" and the "Danish Foreign Policy Society", at the Danish Parliament. Nata Menabde highlighted the historical significance of Georgia's well-deserved EU candidate status, which was granted in December 2023, which is a clear demonstration of all the hard work and dedication the country has made.

On February 20, 2024, the Embassy of Georgia hosted students participating in the Global Policy Research Group European Academy (GPRG EU Academy) project. The project is an initiative of the students of international relations and political science, uniting the Danish and Swedish Universities, and is based at Lund University.

Working visit of the Consular Department to Denmark and Iceland

On February 13-16, 2024, a working visit of the delegation of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia was held in Denmark and Iceland. The delegation was led by the Director of the Consular Department, Giorgi Tabatadze, and the purpose of the visit was to share experiences on effective state activities in the process of managing the crises. On February 13th, the Georgian delegation was hosted by the Danish Foreign Ministry. At the meeting, Denmark's plan of preparedness and action in crises was discussed. The Danish side also presented specific case examples of difficult crises related to its citizens.

On January 25, 2024, Ambassador of Georgia Nata Menabde held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed director of the Danish Institute of International Studies (DIIS), Peter Kragelund. The ambassador spoke about Georgia's foreign priorities, the importance of the status of a candidate country for EU membership in December 2023, and the following successful process of the European agenda.
