On the 11th of March 2025, the Ambassador of Georgia, Nata Menabde, hosted the Danish Conservative Youth Party representatives at the Embassy. The Ambassador delivered a presentation about Georgia and highlighted key aspects of Georgian-Danish bilateral relations.

Within the framework of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with her Icelandic counterpart, Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir. Minister Botchorishvili congratulated Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished her success in her future endeavors.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemns the so-called presidential elections in Georgia’s Abkhazia region, occupied by the Russian Federation which grossly violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.

Presentation of Shota Rustaveli's Aphorisms into Icelandic

On December 6, 2024, the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Denmark and Iceland (with residence in Copenhagen), organized an event as part of the small-scale cultural projects initiative, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. The event introduced a collection of 33 selected aphorisms from Shota Rustaveli’s The Knight in the Panther’s Skin translated first time into Icelandic. The aphorisms were published as a uniquely illustrated Georgian-Icelandic brochure, created specifically for this project of the Embassy.

On the 4th of December 2024, the Ambassador of Georgia, Nata Menabde, had a meeting with the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir. The meeting served as an introductory exchange, where the parties also discussed current developments in Georgia and Iceland.
