Georgia - as a travel destination
on June 6, 2023, the event "Georgia - as a travel destination" was held in Copenhagen, as part of the Scandinavian tour, organized by the Adjara Tourism Department, the Georgian Convention and Exhibition Bureau, with the support of the Georgian Embassy. The event was hosted by the hotel "Radisson Blu Scandinavia", with the participation of the partner company "Airbaltic”.
About 40 representatives of Danish tourism agencies had the opportunity to get detailed information about the tourism potential of Georgia and to hold business meetings with their Georgian colleagues within the framework of the B2B format.
After the welcoming speech of the Ambassador of Georgia, there were presentations about the rich tourism resources and unique opportunities of Georgia.
The event was concluded by a reception, where Georgian wine and dishes were presented.
Denmark is an important country in terms of diversifying tourist flows and attracting high-paying tourism. Accordingly, much attention is paid to the activities of promoting tourism in the direction of Georgia. Georgia always participates in important Danish tourism events, which aim to present Georgia's rich natural and cultural resources as a world-class tourism product and an opportunity to get unique impressions.
The upcoming relaunching of the direct flight between Kutaisi and Copenhagen from December 2023 will bring the two countries even closer to each other, in terms of tourism as well as both people-to-people and business-to-business ties.
