Ambassador's meeting with the Chairman of Defence Committee of the Danish Parliament

On May 17, 2023, Georgian Ambassador Nata Menabde had an introductory meeting with the Chairman of the Defence Committee of the Danish Parliament, Rasmus Jarlov.

Active dynamics of cooperation between the two countries were positively assessed at the meeting. Emphasis was placed on defence and security cooperation, which is of particular importance considering the security challenges created in the region.

The Ambassador shared the information with the chairman regarding the progress achieved on the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia and emphasized the importance of firm support of partners on the path of joining the European Union and NATO.

The Danish side positively assessed Georgia's high level of compatibility with NATO standards and the Georgian side's outstanding contribution to ensuring international security.

The shifted geopolitical environment against the background of the ongoing war in Ukraine further demonstrates the need for international cooperation and coordinated cooperation, and the parties welcomed the readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial partnership between Georgia and Denmark in defence and security.

Rasmus Jarlov once again reconfirmed his strong support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
