Ambassador's meeting with the Director of the Danish Energy Agency

On June 22, 2023, Ambassador of Georgia Nata Menabde held a meeting with the Director General of the Danish Energy Agency Kristoffer Böttzauw.

At the meeting, the parties welcomed the active bilateral agenda between Georgia and Denmark. The importance of strengthening sectoral cooperation was noted, especially in the trade and economic direction, including in the field of energy. The mentioned sector is a priority for both Georgia and Denmark and considering the rich resources of both countries, it represents a good ground for developing fruitful future cooperation.

The Ambassador shared information about the energy policy of Georgia with the Danish side and talked about the importance of using the rich energy resources of our country, and current and future regional and international projects. The strategic location of Georgia and the role of the Black Sea not only for the region but also in terms of connectivity and energy security of Europe and Asia were emphasized.

Danish Energy Agency is an agency under the Ministry of Energy, which is responsible for Denmark's energy production, supply, and consumption. At the meeting, the director of the Agency gave a presentation on Denmark's experience, ongoing projects in cooperation with partners, the country's plans and visions regarding the maximum utilization of renewable energy resources, and the transition to green energy.

The parties expressed readiness to promote future cooperation and agreed to exchange high-level visits for strengthening relations.
