Georgia's independence day celebrated in Copenhagen
On the 12th of June 2024, the Embassy of Georgia hosted a reception in celebration of Georgia's Independence Day. The event took place at the Royal Danish Theater Foyer (Skuespilhuset) and was attended by the representatives of the diplomatic corps in Denmark, representatives from state and private institutions, the academic community, and the Georgian diaspora.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Denmark Nata Menabde addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. The Ambassador underlined the importance of the National Day for Georgia, which is the most significant holiday for all Georgians, and a symbol of statehood and unity.
The event was followed by a cultural program, featuring a musical performance by a Georgian/Swedish musician Sabina Chantouria.
The guests had the opportunity to enjoy the Georgian wine and see the exhibition of paintings by Georgian artist Davit Pitskhelauri, which was also presented at the reception.
