Screening of the Georgian Film "Shindisi"
In connection with the 15th anniversary of the August 2008 war, a screening of the Georgian feature film "Shindisi" directed by Dito Tsintsadze was held in a cinema in Copenhagen, organized by the Embassy of Georgia in the Kingdom of Denmark.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Copenhagen, state and private agencies, the Georgian diaspora, and other invited guests.
Before the movie screening, the Ambassador of Georgia in Denmark addressed the audience and talked about the Russian military aggression against Georgia and its consequences. It was emphasized that the military aggression carried out by Russia against Georgia in August 2008 threatened the security of the region and Europe as a whole, that even after 15 years, Russia still does not fulfill its international obligations.
The Ambassador noted the special importance of the consolidated support of the international community in ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, and European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The audience witnessed the events of the August 2008 war in the Georgian film "Shindisi". The film reflects the events that took place in the village of Shindisi during the August War and presents the real history of the dedication of the Georgian military and the civic heroism of the villagers.
After the film screening, the guests had an opportunity to witness the photo exhibition depicting August 2008, and exchange opinions.
The event made a significant impression on the audience both content-wise and artistic-wise.
